I'm the Mean Girl

I'm the Mean Girl

Teenage girls lash out at each other. They get mean and bring other girls down. It's so easy to do. You may have even done this without knowing it. The point is, most girls do this, no matter how loving and kind the are.

At the time, I didn't realize I was doing it too; but I do know now.

If you read Part 1, you know that even when the mean girl left my school, my one old friend still had something against me. This is her story.

I didn't know why she was angry at me. I didn't know it was because of the first girl. I just thought that she was just another mean girl. I didn't want to get beat up this time.

This girl was very quiet, and you could tell she tried hard to fit in. She was beautiful and different, but people didn't accept her.

It kills me to say it, but I wasn't always the nicest to her. I held a grudge because of her close friendship with the mean girl.

I had my friends, and I never excluded her on purpose. If I realized what I was doing, I would have done things so differently. It wasn't just me, it was many people, but my actions hit her the hardest because of her connection with the mean girl.

None of my intentions were on purpose. She is a great girl and people need to see that.

One day, one of my friends confronted me and told me that once again, this girl was saying things about me behind my back, just like the mean girl had done. This hurt me, but I realized that I had been hurting her, and so I did nothing. I didn't want things to get worse and so I just let those mean words fly by me. It was an awful triangle of horrible things being said and done.

My actions and words hurt this girl and put her in a bad place. What hurts the most is the fact that it had to get to this point for me to realize what I was doing.  I was accused of things but I took it all in. I knew I did wrong things, and there was no excuse.

This girl is beautiful and deserves to have many friends and be happy. I regret everything.

Don't ever judge someone because they are different. Be nice to everyone because you never know what other people are going through. Bring up other girls self esteem and get to know them. Everyone is unique and special. Including you!

You'll be just fine,
